Chronoheart

Chronoheart is a platformer with rhythm game and slasher elements.

The hero must ascend the floors of the Great Tower, inhabited by machines, solving puzzles and defeating various bosses along the way.

How to Beat the Game on Your First Try

If you keep banging your head against a wall, maybe a passage will open behind it... (but you'll need to go back to the first levers for that).

Dash can also be used in mid-air.

In the bottom-right corner, there is a metronome — this is the tick counter, a rhythm-based element of the game. When it glows yellow, that means it's time to perform combo attacks.

Combos MUST be executed within a single tick (if the yellow outline disappears, any queued inputs will be lost). Combos are triggered by quick, sequential key presses. There are 4 combo variations (press the first key, then immediately the second):

The player doesn't have health — instead, there’s a timer in the top-left corner. Enemies reduce this time when they deal damage.

Key	Combo
LMB/K + RMB/L	Ranged combo: launches a faster projectile that deals more damage
W + LMB/K	Melee combo: launches enemies in front of the player into the air
S + LMB/K	Melee combo: knocks enemies in front of the player to the side
Space + LMB/K	Melee combo: if used when touching the ground, damages enemies on both sides of the player

There are checkpoint clocks scattered throughout levels. Interact with them using E (you should see “Saved!” in the bottom-left corner). After death, or if you select Continue from the main menu or Restart from the pause menu, the player will respawn at the last checkpoint.

Levers are also activated using the E key.

You’ll also find barrels and pots throughout the levels — these can be broken with attacks.
